From June 28th until July 4th, Steeltown travelled down to New Glasgow and Middleton to take part in Nova Scotia Vs. Ontario.

July 22nd , Three Steeltown Boxers were asked to take part in a Canada vs. Scotland dual match:

Josh O Reilly defeated By 2007 Scottish champ Josh Taylor
Jessie Wilcox Defeated by 2x Scottish champ Connor McCallum
Steven Wilcox defeated 4x Scottish champ Stephen Tiffney

Canada won the team trophy and defeated Scotland by a score of 8-3.  The same weekend Jaqui Park defeated USA champ Myra Zavala in a Canada Vs. Texas dual match.

On Aug 2nd - 5th, 2007,  Steeltown Boxing travelled to Kansas City with 7 boxers to take part in The Ringside World Championships.

Aug 9th-11th Canadian Champion Jacqui travelled to Hungary with the female National team to take part in the Witch Cup.   She received a bye in the Quarter finals.  Semi finals she fought European Champion Olesyja Gladkova from Russia and lost a decision she comes back to Canada with a Bronze medal.

'Boxing For Beginners'

If you want to learn the basics of boxing and get a great workout, but have no aspirations of becoming the next world champ, here's how:

1.  One-on-one.  You will train towards your proposed goal under direct supervision with an experienced boxing trainer.

2.  Time-flexible and easy.  Just select one or two timeslots per week from the schedule provided.

3.  Reasonable prices. in addition of part being part of a great boxing team.

Steeltown for Fitness
Steeltown Boxing Club offers boxers a chance to sharpen their skills through proper training and practice. 

Our fully equipped boxing gym includes a ring, various heavy bags, uppercut bag, weights and other equipment pertaining to boxing.  

We have two coaches offering extensive practical knowledge in boxing as well as mixed-martial arts. 

 
Steeltown Boxing Club also provides:

* One-on-one training.  We offer a boxing specific program, and welcome any and all beginners or veteran boxers. 

* We design programs for males or females from ages 10+.
